My power just came back on!!!

I genuinely don't know if I can go to work today.

I was full before the storm, but I drive far. I'm down to an eighth of a tank... I spent my lunch break calling gas stations yesterday and was told the one by work was getting a delivery by 5 - I left work at 620 and they had police blocking entrances so no one could get in there.

From what I can tell via GasBuddy and calling around so far, no one local has anything yet. If that wawa by work is out by the time I get there I'm trapped there with no way to get home.

I don't know what to do.

Well you certainly can't go driving far if you know you don't have the gas and can't get more. Too bad you're not closer, I have gas and didn't need it. This sucks.

No, we have backup battery and propane generator, no gas except for the tractor and my car can't take diesel

Well you certainly can't go driving far if you know you don't have the gas and can't get more. Too bad you're not closer, I have gas and didn't need it. This sucks.

I called around a ton of places and got hung up on by most of them. The Wawa told me they had gas but estimated they'd be out within 20 min. I can't make it there in 20 minutes lol.

Found a place close to home *not* on the app with a line of people so, we'll see.

They have a bunch of cops in the parking lot to maintain order it seems.

Hopefully this works out. I'm rather stressed.

If it seems you won’t be able to get what you need then call work and take the day. It’s definitely not your fault people hoard things. Hopefully you still have TP lol.

Still so many people running on generators because they don't have power. And the section of the port that manages fuel was without power until yesterday evening - they then had to assess everything to verify it was safe to start filling tankers to start getting them out.

Yes, they're prioritizing near the interstates first I think I heard. But IDK how long it'll take to get everything caught up.

I'm stuck in this situation again already even if I give up today. There's over 20k without power in my county on the power company I'm on - not sure about the other (we're split between 2) and we're a small county lol

20k isn't too bad:grimacing-face:. those linesman work long hours and there's alot of them, hopefull they can get people off the generators fast. I know when it's like that here, the gas stations refill around 5 am and there are no lines that early.

No, not bad in a place like Tampa, but here that's like 75% of our population lol

Far enough that it's gonna be a struggle to get there if I have to give up on this line and restart..

Been here almost half an hour, it's moving steadily. I'm just hopeful they don't run out...

E light just turned on on my dash ugh. I can see the cops literally directing cars to pumps. Insane. Hopefully I can make it :loudly-crying-face:

Yeah we've always lived to close to the port we've never experienced this before. Definitely going to be a discussion for the future...
