I'm never caught below a half tank and my husband will never let his go below 3/4, always fills before coming home, EVERYDAY, no matter what. His tank is huge and we can go 500 miles on a full tank. Now when something is happening, fires, wind storm or anything, he'll go grab a 5g or more in gas and fill both our diesel trucks.

There's been a few instances over the years where this practice was extremely beneficial. One time we were the only ones around with lights on after a storm because hubs got gas before the power was cut.

Storm prep, fill your car and cans. :cool:

I feel this too, my truck is a short box so the fuel tank is so much smaller than my hubs, we don't travel much in my truck since we'd have to stop so often for fuel.

Yesterday was crazy. Glad to have a day off finally. Matt was able to go out around 8 last night and get gas with only a 25ish minute wait, things are improving I think.

Fed Beelzebul again last night because he was mean mugging me. He snatched the entire cube very quickly :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I need to figure out a better feeding solution for him, I wish we were still getting ghost shrimp in, I used to grab them regularly for Betelgeuse as well. None of the local shops seem to do anything feeder wise. There's really not a saltwater place since I moved either.

Maybe breeding saltwater mollies in the cube is an option, could get frozen silversides but IDK if he'd be into that for sure and I only ever see them in a huge flat pack.

Thinking about visiting the co today though, see if they have any banggai cardinals in stock (only place that does salt locally). Perhaps toss a few in the 180 and see how they fare before I trust myself to move my fish I'm attached to.

All testing says they should be fine. I'm just nervous to start.

Trying to figure out a solution for the extra powerhead as well so I can improve flow. I turned my return up but idk that it's enough still.

Ordering a gyre and the osmolator today I think.

Well that was a bust. All they had were damsels (ew) and clowns (ew) and a couple baby triggers - not what I want to start a tank with lol.


Maybe I'll just nut up and try moving someone.

I tested all kinds of things but not my salinity. Thankfully I went to compare between the peninsula and cube before trying to catch anyone and move them today.

Peninsula was at 1.032 :oops:

Yeah, thinking about it I know exactly how it happened, the temp garbage ATO I'm running obviously wasn't running with the water displacement from the rocks getting added each round. I didn't pull all the additional water out immediately each time I added rock.

Oops.

At least I checked before it was too late. Pulled it down to 1.029 today, I'll do the rest tomorrow. Don't want to shock the inverts or anything in there living on the rock.
