Sump cleaned up.

My sump gorilla crab has been tearing open bags of chemipure elite and making himself a little nest. I thought the first torn bag was from it shifting under the algae scrubber outflow, but noticed a second one today. All bags removed, all mess siphoned out.

Popped some socks in all 4 spots to help polish the water up better after kicking so much around.

Scrubber isn't really producing algae, is producing some kind of nasty mold in the sump walls though with the kick around. Taking that offline for a bit to see what happens.

Pulled the filter roller as well since it can't keep up with the flow in that tank - it's a newer model than the one in the pony cube so next time I need to replace rolls I'll put the new one in and clean the old one up as a backup instead of letting it consume space and power outlets.

Refilled all my reagents.

Thinking about running vinegar on my empty dose head.

Need to find a lighting solution for that chamber of my sump... all of my sump actually... But wondering first if I want to put together a refugium down there since I got some space back.

49, feels like 44. Supposed to be a low of 32. I'm pretty sure I'm a lizard and thus cannot tolerate this weather.

My granddaughter, in Sebring, told me it got down to 30 there. She said “Grandma, send me some Indiana winter clothes lol

Got down to 42 here, in cape coral, high of 62 I think. It was really nice midday.

Woke up with a partially dislocated and very swollen finger. Thanks eds

Hair appt today.

Was going to do more tank stuff afterwards but we'll see with this finger. It's of course my index finger on my dominant hand.

• Go back to bed
• Wake up for real
• Get chicken photos
• Get new coral photos
• Set up UPS for return pump and test it. (We have a whole house backup battery, but if the power simply flickers - my return pump doesn't kick back on)
• Figure out if I want to do a refugium or not
• Order light if so
• Clean filter socks
• Clean glass on all 3 tanks
• Hang some decor in office
• Vacuum toad tank

I have two Kessil a150s that need to be cleaned up and tested. I had to drop everything and run out to DE, but will put that on my to-do list for when I get back. One was promised to @Fishy888, but if both work, the 2nd one is yours.

I'd go red if I decide to do that. And I'll likely get the of the red ones I used years ago when I did it. It's just a matter of sorting out mounting.

I forgot:

• Plant room maintenance
• Breakfast at in-laws (I was promised waffles)

The good thing is I have tomorrow off as well. The bad part of that is I have my xolair shot and the first one kicked my rear and I was almost falling asleep walking around the building at work (hence why I took tomorrow off instead) so I may be useless.
