Cade Chaos Grimoire

Could just grab some pickling lime from the grocery store
We just threw some out when we did the kitchen remodel. Go figure.

Distilled white vinegar is another cheap one with many uses. I buy by the gallon. Keep a deep Tupperware container filled 3/4 with it for soaking pumps and other gear.

I have tried vinegar actually, wasn't effective enough - ticked them off and they came back with a vengeance.

Interesting. Did you heat it up near boiling?
This is a great question, I couldn't tell you how much I had it heated up back then - it was a few years ago towards the beginning (got the tiny tank used from someone).

For aiptasia I just continually smite them with Aiptasia X over the course of a few days
That's what I was working on, but a spot that had 1 small one, now has gone up to 6 small ones. No bueno.

Seriously contemplating just adding another filefish in the meantime.

BUT I do have 2 new fish coming tomorrow for sure :)

Waiting to add any additional corals until I get around to buying the seneye and checking par in the tank. I am contemplating moving most of the acros from the pico into the big tank because they seem to have hit a stopping point in growth. Not sure what I'll do with the pico then...

Have you had any issues with those pumps longevity? I thought I had read a study about vinegar affecting magnets through plastic/rubber with a long enough soak. I've switched to using it more of a scrub and rinse.

No I haven't but don't have a long frame of reference. The hydors I'm using are years and years old.

Half an hour soak then toothbrush scrub keeps them looking and acting right.

Yeah, I don’t think aiptasia x is a great product but I bought it so I’m trying to make it work lol
f-aiptasia works better for me than aiptasia x, same concept but it crusts over it. Still seeing crazy spread recently.

They do look like they where meant to be with a bunch of shrooms around:)

I have a couple mini/maxis in there right now, as well as a few shrooms and quite a few zoas. Maybe adding more shrooms isn't a terrible idea... Maybe some rfas.... hmm...

Learning day...;Happy

For sure my wife has a cpl rfa and they seem to be happy and thriving in shroom garden. If you stock it right you should be golden. I have a few shrooms now for close to yr and a half and if I didn't take babies from them. I'm not sure if they would of had any on there own.
