I have a Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor, that's been offline, for over a year. I plan to get it back online, very soon, but have a couple of questions. I've never actually purchased media for this, as it had fresh media in it, when I purchased it. I plan to empty it out, clean it up really good, and fill it back up.

However, I don't have a clue what I'm doing...lol.

1. Are there any special steps I need to take, when opening it/cleaning it/reassembling it?

2. I have no idea what media to buy, course? fine? brand names? how many pounds? (I think this reactor is supposed to hold 6 lbs, but am not sure)

Anything else I need to know??!!

I use ARM media. Just clean the reactor like you would your skimmer and rinse the ARM. (it says you don't have to on the canister) I add it till I have about 1" from the top. and run it. I am due for a refill on mine.

Do you use "Fine" or "Coarse" ARM? What's the difference?

I agree Coarse is the way to go.
