JUST KIDDING.... But she did make a big boo boo today. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. We just put up a new 80 gal tank and while I was out today she thought she would be nice and clean the outside of the tank. She went and got a green scrubby pad and began trying to scrub off some gummy residue that was on the surface and ended up scratching the heck out of the acrylic. The scratches are not deep but they have really marred the areas where she scrubbed it. Any suggestions for any household items I could use to buff it back out???????

First thing first............ Divorce the wife. Once that process is over with you will not have to worry about it, she will own the tank!
Kidding - Like Junior stated, I have heard that the polishing kit from Foster & Smith works very well.

How great is your buffing stills??? You can make the tank look brand new. You'll have to sand it down and buff it out. But it takes a bit depending on how deep the scratches are.

for external light scratches look into the novus stuff and a drill pad

for interior scratches in a stocked tank, or deeper scratches I like the Everclear Transparency Refurbishing waterproof sanding pads the best

I like it better than the other top kits and I have used all of them I am aware of
