Calmwaters First Saltwater Build

I added the first of many corals to come today! I also added a very pretty purple pincushion urchin and some copepods.

Congratulations on all the new additions- especially that beautifully colored urchin!

I just noticed when I went to put the copepods in that there appears to be two additional small corals on the rock that the leather one is on. I tried to turn it to get better pictures but of course they hid. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow so maybe you guys can help me ID them.

those dont look like coral I pretty sure its aiptasia. Youll want to nip that in the bud quick. Theyspread like crazy. Lots of threads on how to kill. If you can pull out rock you can super glue or epoxy them. Make sure its the entire body of the aiptasia.

Thank you I will get better pictures tomorrow to be sure.

Amanda, if you can get the frag plug off of that rock, just trash the rock
The coral is attached to the rock not a frag plug. Do I need to get out of bed and do something tonight or will tomorrow be ok?

If you can pop the coral off, do that. A butter knife might pop it off the rock. I thought it looked like a plug.
So I just take a butter knife and try to wedge it between the base of the coral and the rock?

Sure. Cut under the glue if you can. Just try not to crush where it's attached.
It doesn't look like it's glued on it just looks attached to the rock...

I'm going to get up and see if I can take care of it because it will worry me all night.
