Calmwaters Pico Build

I added the smallest piece of rock that @Usarmy227 sent me as well as a small piece that broke off of a bigger piece and some more live rock from my sump today. I decided to move the candy cane that wasn't doing great in the big tank to the small one thinking maybe it might like it better. Not 100% sure if this is the way it will stay once I get all the other stuff I ordered for it but I like how it hides the tube for the filter and wires. I can't wait to get the smaller heater because this big one is annoying me. LOL I am still very open to suggestions if you guys see something you think would be better a different way. Of the candy cane recovers I plan on cutting it off the ugly plug and attaching it to the rock.

I realized after the fact that I only added 4 sexy shrimp to my first order and I wanted 5 so I placed another order this morning for the other shrimp and figured why not add some zoas while I was at it. I emailed them to see if it's possible to combine the two orders and get a refund on one of the shipping charges since the first one hasn't shipped yet.

Today I replaced the big heater with the much better small one and setup the ATO. I decided to use a glass jar that I previously used for freshwater shrimp it holds about 2 gallons of water. I didn't cut the tube to a shorter size yet as I have not decided on a permanent home for the tank.

Oh wow Amanda that looks absolutely amazing. How inspiring

Flower pots with corals, anemones or macroalgae. what the heck? I know freshwater plants don't handle NSW levels.
He was being silly.

I received the macroalgea I ordered today and put it in the tank. I was hoping the bags would have labels but they didn't come where easy to ID by looking at the pictures on the website but a couple of the red look similar hopefully I got them in the right place. @JoJosReef do you think they are OK where I placed them? The little mushrooms that were on the rock I bought and the sponge that was on the rock from my 125 seem to be doing well so far.

They look great! That Laurentia has me a bit worried, though. It's gone transparent in the bottom half. Did it break in two? I don't have experience bringing macroalgaes back from that kind of state. Maybe @vlangel or @Subsea could have a look at the above post and advise?

I am hoping it will be okay it was like that when I took it out of the little bag. It does say on the website that it's normal for it to look grey when it first arrives but should color back up.

What a cool tank idea! I agree with @Jojoreef, the Laurentia looks concerning. I have never tried to grow it so not sure what might help it. Hopefully it is just stressed from shipping and giving it a chance to settle will improve it. Opuntia is similar in that it turns white in shipping but then colors up after it settles in the tank.
