Calmwaters Pico Build

I think she looks mad!

He does look grumpy maybe it's his resting hedgehog face...

Sad update on my little tank. Somehow the filter got turned off yesterday and I lost my little upside down gobies my 3 sexy shrimp and my porcelain crab are still alive but I'm worried the porcelain might not make it. My corals are also not happy but I'm hoping they recover. Since I had to take out all the awful smelling water I decided to rearrange the rocks. I took out one and moved the others away from the back wall in order to improve water flow. Anyways here's pictures of how it looks now its still a little cloudy but hopefully will clear up soon.

Sorry Amanda! 😢

Lost another sexy shrimp and the corals are either still angry or not awake yet. I haven't seen the other two sexy shrimp or porcelain crab yet hopefully they will be out when I get home from work. 😭
Hopefully they will waiting to great you when you get home!

Could it be related to water parameters?
The filter somehow got turned off and I didn't realize it until it was too late. I did a total water change yesterday but I think it was just too much stress on them.

Thank you I just feel so bad that I made the mistake that cost my little fish and such their lives.
If it helps I've done bad mistakes in the past but I never did it again. It sucks but your passion for the marine hobby will get you through. Good luck moving forward

Hang in there. It's heartbreaking when something happens but there are things that can be learned through such experiences. You will emerge a better aquarist.

Thank you I may get a slightly bigger tank and restart it or I may just stick with the current tank but I'm not sure yet.

I ordered 5 sexy shrimp and a Porcelain Crab to replace the ones I lost and a RFA. Still haven't decided what kind of fish I want to go with but I'm leaning towards a clown goby but I want to research more. I will move everything into a 10 gallon in the future if need be. They do have a very tiny clown at my lfs but I don't think 6 gallons is big enough long term for one just incase I decide not to get a bigger tank.

I got a an ammonia alert tester and added it to it today right now it says .05 so I have water mixing to do a water change. I also had my local fish store order me a clown goby if their supplier has one it should be here next Tuesday I think. The zoas seem to be doing better today but my beautiful red mushrooms still haven't recovered.

Your pico was beautiful, and I'm sorry for your losses, I know how horrible it must have been to make those discoveries.

I would say, you seem like you really genuinely care about the critters in your care, and that your little tank showed that - I'm glad you haven't given up on reefing despite that, and what people have said is true, you go through horrible things like this and come out the other side a better reefer.

You've got all the good foundations in place already, I'm glad to see you got back up and on the seahorse :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!
