This. Listen, I’ve never owned an RS tank. And I bet if I bought one, it would be fine and have no issues. But to see how RS has treated their customers, I could not ever support buying anything from them. I’ve owned both IM and WB tanks and been happy with both.

Although WB could do better on their stand….

+1 for avoiding Red Sea! — silicone seam failures pop up here and elsewhere almost daily!

Check with glass cages though to see if they can do comparable size for close to the same Price. With tariffs, the overseas tanks are no longer way cheaper.

I've owned all 3 at different points and would go with innovative marine. Never any issues. Maybe slightly more expensive depending on when/where you buy. I wouldn't buy red sea ever again personally. Never had issues with their tanks but I don't trust them nor do I trust their customer service. Unfortunate because they do make nice looking tanks and stands.

I've had 3 Red Sea tanks for over 7 years. Never had one problem with any of them. Great customer service. My first came broken from shipping and they reshipped a new one immediately. Very surprised to hear people not liking them. I also recommend Planet Aquarium tanks.

Heard good things with IM. I'd avoid RS like Yersinia Pestis (the plague). Take a look at Glass Cages. More expensive, yes, but an excellent choice. When my tank finally goes up that's where I'm tossing my money.

I have a failed reefer 170

There are many others as Joe listed.
I looked into cade before buying my WB 330.7 but cade gave up way to much swim room having that ATO container built on the back. I wanted 30" front to back and WB fit the bill.

FYI I have a failing Reef Savvy that is 13 yrs old. I just purchase an RS reefer S 700 G2. I know there are a lot of unhappy customers out there. I hope I do not turn into one. BTW I found RS customer support and responsivness awesome so far

Thats scary. I guess any tank can fail, but you would never expect a reef savvy tank to fail

13 years is pretty reasonable! Is this Reef Savvy tank rimless? Eurobraced? — I’m trying to figure out which top perimeter glass support systems seem to last the longest!

IM ext 170 is a nice complete system, imo.
Actual display water volume is 135g's.
