I want to get a leopard wrasse and I wanted to add some more sand to my tank to give it plenty of space to burrow. Would adding more sand to my reef tank mess anything up?

You can definitely add sand but it can create a mess if your not careful about it. Even if you did get sand on some of your coral it will be fine unless they are new/already stressed. This is one of those things that it is a good idea to watch a few youtube videos before you get your hands wet.
