I have a Copperband who absolutely loves Clam Meat (Fresh in Shell).

I had a bag of FRESH Frozen (not Cooked) Split CLams, and after he got into eatting those Clams, he started Eatting Frozen.

HOWEVER I Ran out of the Fresh Frozen Clams, and found this Bag of (Shelled Clam Meat) at the Grocery STore.

Now at home, I notice the Clam Meat is pre-cooked.

Not sure if Cooked is fine......Just $5 for the Bag, and maybe he will eat it on a clip.
I can't run around grocery stores during Covid-19 Outbreak.

THE INGREDIENTS are Just the Meat and Water. (nothing added)

He Either Get's this, or has to be happy with Frozen Mysis, etc.

I did some googling, and people feed Fish Cooked Shrimp DIY food, so why not clams?

Can't return the bag (not worth the effort).
I don't eat Clams. So maybe try a small piece and see if he eats it (if safe)

Go for it. Should be fine!!
I did.

I actually had one Fresh Clam Left, so did a comparison FRESH(Frozen) VS Cook(Frozen) CLAM

Pretty INTERESTING What Happened.

I FILMED IT. Preparing to Post the Video on YouTube.
Won't spoil the suprise, since it's not exactly what you think.

Will take a few minutes to EDIT it down to a minute short. The feeding Sesson was like 15 minutes.
Switching, and then doing side by side. Then a good trick.

I’d stay away from it. While it may eat it, fish don’t cook their food underwater for a reason. Also it comes from China and no telling what you may get. Stick to fresh clams sourced in the U.S. and preferably not from a farm.

I guess you have a point, but this isn't Food From China for Fish consumption, it's from a High End Fish Market (Sold for Human Consumption).

My concern is (Cooked may be not good for Copperband's digestive system)...You'll see what happened in Video.
Even the Clown's got in on the feeding. (But only the Uncooked)

It says right on the package PRODUCT OF CHINA. Doesn’t matter for human consumption. Still clams from China...

I did hear my wife telling me the Shrimp and other Seafood factories (in China), don't produce natural seafood. They add antibotics or something to keep them alive since the water conditions are substandard (In their Farm Tanks).

No worries.
The Clam and the Clowns were smart.
They wouldn't touch the Cooked Clam, and they absolutely devoured the Raw Clam.
The copperband did peck a few times at the Cooked, but it was too tough, and he couldn't eat it.
(I did slice up the Cooked with a razor blade and he then ate some, but went back to the Raw 100%).
I figure the Cooked wouldn't be good for his digestive, and whatever the Clam was fed.
There I spoiled the ENDING. (No point putting up the video....unless someone want to see a Copperband Ripping apart Chunk of RAW CLam, and gluping it down.)

$5 down the drain. Raccoons are hungry lately, they can handle Chineese Cook Clam. (Not around my house. At the Ravine)
I'll have to find Raw Clams on next Grocery Run.
