I bought a second hand light which I can't get to work, although I saw it working when I bought it.
I'm looking at getting it repaired because I've tried all trouble shooting - would zoa and mushrooms survive with a window full of daylight?

if the sun beams directly on the tank for a number of hours everyday, it might work, but better to have proper light for success.

I'm sorry about your experience, unfortunately we all learn the lesson many times; Don't buy cheap or you will have to buy it again.
