Can you make glass lenses for AI lights?

Okay so with all the talk of burnt lenses going around and AI not really do much but limiting their overdrive function I had a curious question.

Is it possible to make or use a glass style lens to eliminate this issue with over driving the lights?

I use these diffusers. The lens is removed and this is placed over both pucks.
Not glass but im sure you could cut a pane of frosted glass that would work similar, or affix the diffusion paper to the glass.
No issues with burns.

Anything is possible.. but practical?
As stated above removing the lenses and of course more than likely lowering the light. Your overall beam is now down to about 120 degrees from the 90-ish of the orig. lens.

Personally I'd just grind off the burnt part and see how much it effects the affected diodes.
Yea prob lose some light but you already have..
