Canada Fires

I was watching my local Mn news tonight when I saw something sad. (Is the news ever happy?)
But our state (and others) is currently under "Air Advisory" because smoke from the huge fires in Canada is blowing our way. They were talking about how many homes were being affected and then showed some aerial shots. After that they shared a video recorded from someones webcam of their living room. The room was beginning to fill with smoke and I think you could even hear fire crackling. But what caught my attention first was the reef tank in the living room. Poor guy is watching his house burn up with his reef tank right there in the picture.....

I have a few college buddy's that are from Canada and live close to those fires. They are safe but seeing the photos and hearing the stories is heart breaking for sure. I couldn't imagine what they are going through. Mandatory evacuations and you can only take what you can carry most of the time. Definitely in our thoughts and prayers.

It was really smoky up here in Cloquet, MN yesterday. My wife has bad asthma and has been having a rough time with it. It's not as bad today though, so that's good. My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this fire.

I live about 5 hours away from Fort mcmurry. No smoke here, i guess it travels in a different direction.

Fort mcmurry is the oil town mecca in Canada with the biggest oil reserves, the oil sands.

If you want to pray for them, pray for rain and their saftey.
