Sadly the copperband did not make it. it was the oddest fish. Ate great in the store, took it home and still ate great. It was eating mysis, brine, and fresh clams. Slowly but surely, though, it's appetite seemed to go away until it quit eating alltogether. It went on hunger strike I guess.

Anyways here is a photo dump

A bit of an entire tank change up just happened! My BTA decided to split into 3 different anemones and I decided it was the perfect motivation to finally remove them. Although cool, especially considering the clownfish symbiosis, I just can't have anemones walking all over my tank, killing coral, or taking over. I removed the rock they were on and balances it on top of a 5 gallon bucket and let gravity help my remove them. They came off easily after allowing them to hang for about 5 minutes. The tank is looking mighty empty now but I'm confident this will be a positive in the long term. My corals should fill in nicely in the space the anemones occupied. I plan on eventually removing my clownfish too.

Got a new toy today! It was time to get a skimmer in this reef so I gor an aquamaxx 1.5 hob. So far so good, seems to put out a lot of bubbles though!

Hoping this addition helps to curb a little gha that's recently turned up.

Picked up a tidal 35 today so I can run carbon more easily. Filled it with some chemipure today but I'll probably run rox carbon going forward. So far I like it a lot, reminds me of a updated aquaclear.

Also I'm happy to say that the aquamaxx skimmer really pulls a lot of stuff from the water! It does produce a lot of microbubbles though. Aesthetically I do not mind the bubbles so far.

Picked up an interesting new leather coral and a little clown goby. The goby seems to have claimed the cabbage leather as his home.

Worked on my aquascape a bit, reconfigured my two pieces of branch rock into more of a vertical orientation on the right hand side of my tank. I think I am digging the look!

New addition! I finally got my mystery wrasse, been looking for awhile and finally pulled the trigger when petco had 25% off online fish orders plus free shipping. I just could not pass that up. Fed ex shipping was delayed and the box took 48 hours to get to my house, the tiny little dude made it though!
