Carbon reactor

Good evening R2R,

I'm kicking around adding the BRS mini carbon reactor to my 65g to maximize water clarity and par. anyone have any recommendations and real world experience with this system and any pros and cons?

I have it. Works well. I don't think it will make a difference in par but its nice for clarity.

Theoretically taking any tint that the water has out would increase par. Or at least that's how it works in my mind lol

Been using a BRS mini for carbon and GFO for about 8 years now(or at least when they released the mini).

Works great, and the mini size is perfect for 8tbs of carbon and 3tbs of GFO in my 85g system.

I have the larger versions on my system for GAC and GFO, and they get the job done just fine.

Dana Riddle did a study on that and found no significant difference in his findings. Its somewhere on this site. However I still recommend every tank run carbon 24/7.
