ya I don't want to!!! Lol I'm going to risk it I have alot of time so ill let it soak in saltwater untill I start up the tank. So today I was putting Teflon tape on my all my fitting and started on my bulkheads. My wife asks me if you do that will it fit through the door? lol I was like ohhhhhh. So I measured my door in the garage 30" "nope" measured front door 35" "uh maybe" fingers crossed. If. Not the I have sliding glass doors in the back of the house ill just have to take off.

How do you know your tank isn't to big? "cause it still fits in your house"

No...... Lol maybe.... Ok so I painted the pipes ill take the risk. Not worried about them tho. It looks really good.matched the painted back glass almost perfect. Having some friends come over sunday to help with putting the tank on the stand. But....
On a side note my b-day is coming up and I wanted to get myself a really nice chalice again, to go with my Dynamite. So I been talking to mike "sexycorals" and he is hooking me up with a sexy box.... I have no clue what's in it and he won't tell me!!! Ha but I have total faith in him. And I know he will do me right. Thursday is ship date so Friday maybe y'all can have some pic to look at instead of my Boring tank build!

That's just a 4" pipe with a 2" reduction on top and inside the reduction is a 1 1/2 reduction " my down pipe is 1 1/2 " with a cap on the bottom. I just drilled holes in the top for air to excape and use a miter saw to cut for the bottom to drain out into your sump. It almost completely gets rid of bubbles cause by your overflow into your sump.

So did you put a cap on the 1.5" or the 4"? If you put it on the 1.5", then how is the water getting from that pipe to the 4" pipe? I bet this would really help with sump noise as well.

So that's the bottom cap that you can remove? Does it catch detritus pretty well?

Can't wait to see how you put it in your sump.

sent from my phone.

It will the bigger pieces. The ideal is to have enough space up top for air to excape but have pressure at water level to force out the water at the bottom. You can use it without a cap on bottom also. But it helps cause if you flow it to much The bubbles will just flow out the bottom.
