Day 5
Ok not to much done today but a fun day. I used my new router today. Very fun to use. The plywood on top is 1/4 it will be for the bottom of the stand. I use the router to get the shape of the stand and will use my jigsaw to do the cut outs for the support 2x4. I will be useing 3/4 plywood for the top of the stand still need to make a hd run. What I need now is all those master Plummers to help me out. In the very near Future. Ill touch base on this Tuesday. Pic time

Day 6-9
Ok guys worked a couple hours over the weekend and little today. The stand frame is done! I have to beautiful plywood to skin the stand and make my doors. The best thing about making your own stuff is for 1 it's fun, 2 you can make your opening what ever size you want/need. Which means so struggling to fit that sump you bought inside your stand. Ok so this is where I'm at as of right now.
Stand - check
Paint stand - check
Test fit overflow cut outs - check
Check sump - check
Skin stand - nope
Clean aquarium - um half check
Pluming - ha nope!
Build sump- nope

Not much going on been very busy at work. Today I ordered half my plumbing. All my bulkheads those things add up quick. This is what I got so far. Also I started priceing dry rock and sand. WOW lol 2" sand bed were talking 225# of sand. And I was planning on 250-300# of rock we will see. I kinda leaning on black sand just to be different just got to get the ok from the wife.

I'm trying and I can't take credit on that plumbing but mine will be very very close to that. I been following you build taking some ideals. So want to say thanks.

Your welcome although yours is making me a bit jealous (I should have spent more time building it). Which substrate are you thinking? I'm probably going BB on mine (removing my tropic eden).

Dang man I gotta fly you out here and have you help me build stuff for the store. Didn't know you were handy with the Hamer and saw like that. Thought you were just good at the spatula and getting me fat. :)

Truthfully I want black sand don't know what yet but that's what I want if not fine sand I don't like when you have crush coral in the sand cause it discoloration with algae. I never did bb. What up with your t.e. and your switch over?
