obviously something is way off in your parameters. How old is your tank. what are your current complete numbers? Have you used any chemicals lately? MB7 or MB clean?
About three years since I moved it to its current location. I’ve had the set up for about 5 years. Nitrate it 25 last I checked. Haven’t checked the others in a bit. Would my parameters really make it do that the instant I put it in the refugium ? All corals and fish are doing good.obviously something is way off in your parameters. Nice I used the small box shaped fish fry net before too.I put chaeto in a perforated floating container in my refugium section of my sump. You may need more chaeto than that to get it going. I started from a baseball size and now have to prune it every week. When I didn’t use the perforated container i had the same problem.

Yes, as soon as I added it. It hits flow and starts to fall apart. If it’s going that instantly, not after weeks, they sent you Kmart chaeto.
It's possible but hard to tell because you said you haven't checked your other parameters in a while. Your tank is aged enough to support a fuge and your set up appears close in size to mine. What light are you using? I use neptune gro with great success. Have you tried dosing chaeto gro?About three years since I moved it to its current location. I’ve had the set up for about 5 years. Nice setup. Where did you get the basket?I put chaeto in a perforated floating container in my refugium section of my sump. You may need more chaeto than that to get it going. No I haven’t dosed anything. Just added it today after getting it. Took the picture a few moments after. I have a kessel H80, plannned on only turning it on at night when main tank light is off. Should I run the light continuously for a bit? I don’t care it’s falling apart, but it’s getting into main display and that’s my biggest problem with it.It's possible but hard to tell because you said you haven't checked your other parameters in a while. Do you have to flip that so often?I put chaeto in a perforated floating container in my refugium section of my sump. You may need more chaeto than that to get it going. I run mine 12 hours overnight. It shouldn't be falling apart on you. Mine never does that. Maybe try the little fish fry net box to keep it in one place. Shouldn't have any direct flow just the normal return pump flow.No I haven’t dosed anything. Just added it today after getting it. Took the picture a few moments after. I manually flip each week.Do you have to flip that so often?
I have a similar another container that I flip the entire basket into every weekend. I found chaeto really doesn’t have to spin to have great growth.Do you have to flip that so often?
Mine has a valve that comes off the main pump. The tube leads to a PVC with lines cut along it into the refugiumI run mine 12 hours overnight. It shouldn't be falling apart on you. Do you think all the chaeto that made it into the main display will break down after a while and go away?I manually flip each week.
Or your cleaners will snack on itDo you think all the chaeto that made it into the main display will break down after a while and go away?
