When you get your chaeto from another reefer/LFS is it possible to import ick or some other form of deadly disease into your tank? If so does anyone take precautions to prevent this from happening? Do I need to QT my chaeto in my empty coral qt tank or am I going way overboard.....

Reason for asking is I'm looking to get some for my fuge however I'm nervous just getting it from anyone or from my LFS.

Thanks

Safe bet would be to place the chaeto in a bucket of SW for 48 hrs to allow any theronts to starve out. I highly doubt tomonts could encyst to it.

You pay for shipping I'm more than happy to give you a bunch of it I think it's a crime for what it's going for on ebay.
