I need some expert experience. Please post pics and lighting conditions of your chalices. In my opinion, all my chalices I had in the past(bazooka Joe, BGM, lava), had amazing coloration under my t-5 8-bulb. they sat off to the side(not directly under the lights, and at the bottom of my 75 gal tank. So I have a 12 gallon aquapod with 2 27 watt CF bulbs. One 50/50 actinic/day and one day bulb. Also have 6 watt LED blue stunner strip on. I am getting in some high end chalices coming(pink *******, tyree pink WM, original mummy eye, and bazooka joe), and want to know if my tank will support them. So let me know what you have. I always thought chalices had better color under low lighting. Or is there anything you add to the tank for good coral health? I got a miami hurricane, and in the 3 weeks I have had it, the colors have gone from brown/pale blue, to blue purple. I am hoping it comes to bright blue.
Thanks,
Bill

I have read that the MH is the same in both high and low. My MH is in low light(bottom of the tank with the CF), but he PB gets more red under low light, and more pink under high light. Do you add any suppliments? I have no fish in the tank, just chalices, LR and snails. I dont do a lot of water changes, figure the LPS like somewhat dirty water. my nitrates are 0

i use Zeo so my dosing to you would be misleading IMO. Yes i can almost guarantee chalices like some No3. The MH and the PB both do well under higher light. That does not mean you can not put them under low light. I think ULN super low po4 and no3 are more for sticks. How do you achieve zero no3, also what do you test with?
