Question my friends: hyper watermelon chalice is bleaching - i believe its actually easier to see what i mean under blues. Have had it growing (very well) for ~8 months. Was on a frag rack at ~180 PAR during that time. Just noticed the bleaching and was wondering: only thing has changed is its frag - rack - neighbor… a new frag of Koji Wada Nepthea. Could that cause a bleaching episode? (Chemical warfare)? In the interim i have moved chalice down to sand bed.

I think your par is high for this coral. They typically like low lighting and low flow environments. The bleaching doesn't look terrible. They look fine in the picture.

Most chalices I've seen were on the sand bed or bare bottom. It's because the par and flow is low down there. Good luck!
