I am wondering do certain chlices perfer certain types of water flow, lighting and placements within the tank...

Mostly all of my chalices are on the substrate with low to medium flow. Please tell me where you find yourself placing yours and does it thrive in those conditions.

Thanks to those of you who reply. :xd:

I *think* they like lower light then acans but I could be mistaken. That is what I have gathered from my research BUT I own 0 chalices so you can only take me for so much of my word!

What chalices do you have? all chalices like low flow, and some like high light and some like low depending on the chalice. most of my pink WM's like high light.

I have a BPC FT, MiamiHurricane, EmeraldMummy, BubblegumMonster, AcidTrip, AnastasiaWatermelon, RonBurgundy, and OG MummyEye. Can you provide me with some ideas?

I only have a few of those pieces, what you need to do is just type the name of each in the search engine at the top of the page and do some research on each one and see what they like. By the way nice collection you got going on there, it says you from the bay where at? cause I'm from monterey.

I currently only have one chalice, and it gets medium light and low flow, and its still extremely bright and polyps out at night. I saw mine with a sweeper out the other night.

It also depends on a lot of other things like the type of light you are running, the rock scape and much more....you got to remember every tank is different, so you got to just get a basic idea on what that chalice likes and then play with it by moving it around you tank and finding out where it likes to be in your tank.

I have way to many chalices so they just get stuck where they can fit, but I'm seem to get better colors out of my WM's a lil higher up on the scape. I am also running full LED's so it is going to be much different compared to MH's.

I have about 6 and they are all on the bottom of my tank with medium flew and decent light. Seem to be doing pretty well. I have read that some people feed them too.
