Changed DI Resin, TDS Fluctuating

So I changed both stages of my DI canisters, color had changed in both, and my TDS was steadily at 1-2 instead of 0. After changing both, I ran them and after the first hour, was getting TDS of 14. After another hour, they were down to 0. After a third hour, they're up to 42. I thought I packed the canisters pretty well, but I'm not sure what the issue could be. Anyone with any ideas would be much appreciated!

Check to see if they’re upside down.

also/ it’s important that you pack that resin tight AF. I did it recently and immediately was back to zero after the di cartridge.

It takes me a few hours to get zero after a repack.
It doesn’t need to be crazy packed in, just full.

If it don’t go to zero in a few hours, it seems the water from RO is “bypassing” the DI media. Check for blocks and make sure water is flowing from the bottom up through the filter and out at the top.

If you pack too too tight you risk having water channel up the sides, which is less effective.
