I want this wrasse next!!! Are they hard to find?

Kind of… pop up a few times a year. Poor shippers but otherwise not too bad. Watch for swim bladder issues.

I’d love to run a full quarantine on this baby then pop in the DT with my others. Very beautiful fish.

I did hybrid TTM on mine. Handled it like a champ.

Not to hijack thread is there difference between TTM and hybrid ttm

Peroxide dips x2 to get rid of velvet and such since traditional TTM only works on ich.

I have been super busy with my work lately and have not keep up with the reef world. I sorta burn out and just have to take some time. Plus I got Covid so there isn't a lot I can do in term of work.
I got my camera and got a few picture of my China wrasse, and just have to show him off.

This is the exact same fish. First picture a few months after I got her in 2019, after she got healthy. The last 2 pictures is today 1/20/2022 a few years later. First picture is the normal coloration of this wrasse and the last picture is the nuptial coloration. It is really easy to take a good picture of him because he strutting in front to the tank all the time. However, nuptial pictures are very difficult to take becasue he is just fast.

If I purchased two, would one become a male, and the other a female? Similar to Clownfish? Don’t want to end up with two males, and they fight to death.

Wrasse all transition in the end. I never suggest getting a pair of any species of wrasse.

I am sorry but I don’t have experience with Popeye. I suspect that it is some sort of infection. Personally I would not get him. However , if he is your already the take care of him the best that you can and treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic in the hospital tank.

Popeye can be naturally cured with time and good water quality, I had it occur on my Tilefish.
