Hello,

What do you guys think of the following. I purchased 6 chromis from my LFS, had confirmed Uronema cases. I currently have 2 which are doing great. They have been in copper power at level of 2.30ish for a week with metroplex being dosed daily. Then petco had their sale of 25% and ordered some Anthias but it has been a disaster, I had one confirmed Uronema case and the rest have just died. The chromis continue to eat like pigs and enjoy life. I did lower the copper power concentration to 2.05 in preparation for the anthias. Unsure if I should restart the clock on the chromis or be able to move them to observation next Wednesday based on their schedule.

Any thoughts?

Metro I do not advise mixing both as metro also addresses ich/parasites. Copper will not address Uronema but Ruby Rally Pro will as will 37% formalin which rarely advise due to vapor and handling risks and I would not mix RRR with copper either. You can give the fish if Uronema is of concern, a 60 minute ruby rally pro bath (dosage x 2) with aeration and return to the tank with copper.

This is a little confusing - However - copper does not affect uronema. You should restart the clock. Additionally NEVER add extra fish to a QT Protocol. Sorry about your anthers. Also - how do you know the fish had uronema? Before dosing ruby rally or anything else - it makes sense to me to figure out the problem. Since Anthias and Chromis can certainly have uronema - but - pictures would help

If the chromis spend another week in copper not a big deal. But now, which is basically them again, I was thinking, should they subject to an extra week of copper? They have been eating like champs and growing actually.

I would treat with copper per the protocol. I would not feed Metroplex without a clear reason. I would not give a ruby rally bath - but - if you do all good.

RRR bath yes- concern is uronema and copper will not prevent it.

I know - I said that above in my first post so we agree. I asked the OP for a picture to see if it really is/was uronema. The remaining fish now are eating and doing well near the end of the copper treatment. My opinion is continue the copper then use Ruby Rally after if desired. I also said a dip is fine - but either way - I would just finish the copper as well.

This is one example. The two chromis are still eating great. The reason for the copper is for ick and velvet, this is how I QT all my fish. Copper power for 2 weeks, metroplex in the water and in some of the feedings mixed with focus. Once they are moved to the observation tank, I add prozipro twice 5 days apart.
