Cleaning old tank

What’s the best way to clean an old tank? It’s been sitting in storage and will need some tlc. Vinegar soak?

If it’s glass tank and was previously used, and then stored for longer than a year suspect the silicon may be shot.
Yes overnight with vinegar works great

If you need something to gently scrub glass, baking soda works and is natural.

What about acrylic? I've got a biocube that could use a good cleaning. Not trying to hijack.
