Is there a secret in cleaning these large enclosed impellers in these DC pumps?

I've been using Q-tips, and maybe getting to 85-90 percent of the pump snot. I'd like it cleaner. Any tips?

O2 maybe? a brewing cleaner like one step.
Doesnt have to be rinsed leaves no harsh chemicals that in brewing would kill yeast or leave an off taste in the beer.

When you say O2, I'm assuming you mean peroxide?

I currently soak in bleach and then Q-tip the inner parts as best I can.

Forget where you live in nj but there are quite a few brewery supply stores all over so dont have to pay shipping.
