Hey everyone!

Valentines day is coming up soon

Since this is my first Valentines day with my girlfriend of 4 months (yes im still in high school....) I wanted to do something memorable, so i was thinking of getting her 3 red roses and a fake one, with a card that says "i will love you till the last rose wilts away"

What do you do to show that special someone how much you love them?

:D

a red rose for each year of marriage and then a white one for each year my daughter has been here and a yellow rose for each year my son has been here.16 white 11 yellow and 30 red

I like to pick my girlfriend up and drive to this monument that overlooks the city and we sit and stare out the window at all the cars and the lights while listening to music. I just enjoy being around her. This hobby take all my money so I can't get her much. I think she's happy with just me.:)

ahhh, to be young and in love..... last year, i stuffed , (packed solid),my girlfriends car with red balloons that said "i love you". she came out to go to work, saw them and teared up. she still talks about it. my lungs still hurt.lol

Around here I get her Roses and take her out to eat, cause most of my family is doing stuff for me,LOL, I was lucky enough to be born on Feb 14.

I use to pick with my wife and tell her that I do not be getting her anything for Valentines Day because its my birthday. Then say J/K

Pay attention to her all day long- lots of hugs and kisses... really, that's all it takes! Plus it's fun! Rent a sappy movie like The Notebook and tell her that you feel like that... Awwww....

Aw, filling the car with ballons is very cool. Brandon, your idea sounds perfect.

So greeting her from the couch as she walks in two hours after I've been home with "What's for dinner?" just won't cut it huh:D?

Mine'll be away for Valentine's Day...

go to work all day
I dont think i would try the honey whats for supper thing at my house , might in up with lead poison

I have to do double duty as it is also my wedding anniversary....Ouch.....

see, thats actually pretty smart. cuz you're killing two birds with one stone. ;)

lol

i hate valentines day for several reasons.

1) i'm still recovering from xmas, and its not a real holiday unless most people can get off of work (aside from birthdays).

2) had alot of bad experiences in college and highschool...b/c w/ the girls, its like a big contest to see who can out do eachother. and it just puts too much pressure on the guys. and the day after you hear, "well so and so's b/f got them this, why couldnt you do something like that?".

sorry...if i'm gonna get nagged on why i didnt get this and that for valentines day...its just not worth even bothering with it. my girlfriend of severals years totally agrees with this philosophy. i'm not gonna go out and spend money on something just b/c everyone else is also doing it and i want to fit in.

in the end, i'll have to do *something* just to get off the hook for not doing anything. and it doesn't mean much to me if i half butt it. lol

christmas, birthdays, and anniversarys are much more important...now if i can only figure out what day she considers our anniversary. lol

I always have a hard time figuring out what to do.... my gf doesn't want any jewelry.... and I can't send her stuff at work... cuz then ppl would ask 'questions' she doesn't want to answer....we go out to dinner all the time 3-4 times a week...so that isn't really anything special to do....

I do like the balloon idea though... maybe I'll do that :)

dont put heleum in the ballons, some will leak and she will never forgive yah!!! :hammer: :love4:

I agree with you Surfn....V-day has never been a favorite with me. Having a day of the year that celebrates romance is just kind of...staged and artificial, which goes against the true feeling of romance. We've never made a big deal out of it and now that we have children we usually take them someplace fun for dinner and do cards and stuff.

Lol...having a wifey in the hobby is totally a perk. I told him the other day to save the jewelry...i want a dendro (not for vday though). :)

I agree with the same philosophy as Surfn. I might go out to dinner and get flowers but thats about it. I go all out on birthdays and Christmas.

My bf got me a maxima clam today for valentines day...what a sweetie :) It's great to have a bf that's in the hobby too :)
