I got a pair of clown fish in my saltwater tank about six days ago. They are captive bread and I’ve been trying to feed pellets. One of them ate a very small amount but the other one doesn’t really show interest. I also tried frozen my sister shrimp but no interest at all. Are they still adjusting or should I try a different type of food or what?

That isn’t normal for tank raised clownfish.

Can you post a video taken under white lights and also list you tank’s water quality measurements?

Well, your water looks fine.

Can you get a clearer video? I can’t see how fast the fish are breathing. Maybe shoot perpendicular to the glass instead of at an angle.

Help!

Sorry - no symptoms are visible to me here. The male looks a bit thin, and both fish seem nervous, but that’s likely a function of you being right there filming them.

Let me call in the other #f#fishmedico see if anything stands out to them.

Try to use flake food. Mine wouldn’t touch anything other than flake. Working my way to the other foods .

How big are they in relation to the pellets?
I found that the pellets were a bit big for mine when they were less than an inch. Crushing up the pellets seemed to help them to eat. Same for the mysis.

Mine have eaten New Life Spectrum pellets size 1mm - 1.5 mm since the day I got them 5 years ago. They lay eggs in a small clay flower pot every 3-4 weeks.
