I’m cycling a 65G ( 3x2x2) tank.
20G long sump DIY with fuge
Bubble Magus curve 5
Gyre maxspect 250
Around 55lbs reef save dry rock + 2 marine pure block
+ 18W pentair uv (plumb in case needed)
It’s been 3 weeks now, planning to make a clown harem. Here is the plan, if you guys have any suggestion would be helpful.
Time: 2 months from start (test with amonia to make sure it can process all anomia + nitrite in 24hrs)
Number of clown: Black snowflake 12-15 (any recommnendation on this?)
RBTA: 8-10 will be added 2 months after fishes.
—————
Questions:
Should I add fishes before bta or bta before fishes, since this is a new tank
What nitrate level should I target?
Can I add fishes earlier? 4-6 weeks?
Opinions will be great. Thank you

I think most who have started tanks like what your looking for has established the anemones first but others with experience can comment.

Some ppl have bta before fishes, but I know bta may not do well in a new tank.

I personally would add fish first. I introduced 2 RBTA at 4 months, I knew it was risky because the tank was very new. They are thriving, growing and splitting. Lucky? Perhaps, it was a gamble but it paid off for me. I'm not saying you, me or the next person will be that lucky introducing them before the tank matures more. There are several people that have done what you are wanting to do. Type harem in the search, you can tap their brains.

This one looks nice

Thanks for the link, I think that nem just like something really stable, I have some experience with the hobby so I will try to keep track off all the parameter.
