We woke up this morning with our pair of clownfish having some change in color on the white parts. The white is starting to turn reddish/pink. Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

Thank you.

Cannot really tell from your photos, I know it’s hard to photograph fish, but it looks kinda like acclimation stress. How long have you had them and how were they acclimated? Aside from the colour, anything else off? Eating habits, behavior, etc?

There have been some issues seen with a red discoloration in the white bars of clowns. It isn’t understood what exactly causes it, but may be linked to other illnesses. I’d monitor for any other changes in appearance or behavior.

Hi, that is a known issue with clownfish, but has an unknown cause. Here is a post I made about that:

We added them last Thursday, 9-20. They were purchased online through dr reefs quarenteened as a pair. Followed his acclimation process to a T. They eat fine. They are our first and only fish in the tank.

Nothing else is off at all. Let me find a better pic
