He was on sandbed dead looking. Was afraid bigger fish or shrimp would see he was ill and go after him. What made you move him to a qt tank? I think you’re really stressing him out to say the least.
The fish is a bit thin and appears to be moribund from a couple of the pictures
Theres a vid i just took. Cant really see in QT becauseof the bubbles. The fish is a bit thin and appears to be moribund from a couple of the pictures
Is it breathing normal or rapid?
Eating?
ARE YOU ABLE TO POST A VIDEO of at least 20 seconds of fish?
This fish is breathing very rapid and may have been a victim of aggression from signs of pectoral fin bitten. Fish unfortunately does look moribund and will likely not eat or swim normal again. In this condition, not much I can recommend. You can add air stone and hope for the bestTheres a vid i just took. Cant really see in QT becauseof the bubbles.
New tank and likely low oxygen and possible chemistry swings.Rapid breathing. He was added roughly a week ago. Tank is a 60 cube.
Dr tims, live rock and live sand. I don't remember explicitly for how long. Long enough for the spike and fall.New tank and likely low oxygen and possible chemistry swings.
How did you cycle this tank and for how long?
What is current ammonia level and how are you testing it?
Doubtful low oxygen. Skimmer and decent water movement.New tank and likely low oxygen and possible chemistry swings.

Were talking dissolved oxygen. Skimmer helps but dissolves organic matter which you likely dont have much and water movement distributes nutrients to coral and provides necessary flow and surface turnover. Air stone and good water quality contributes to dissolved oxygen. Your tank is new and Will experience this.Doubtful low oxygen. Skimmer and decent water movement.
That fish is still doing better. Two more have passed though.I wish you the best hopefully he can get better.
