My female clown is swimming poorly. Body stiff, not doing the typical clownfish wiggle. Staying at/near the bottom of the tank. Slightly losing her balance and somewhat struggling to maintain correct body orientation, but still overall in control. Reduced appetite but still eating. She has a cut on her side, and maybe some patches of scales missing on the back half of her body, but one or both of these could be from dragging on the ground. It’s also possible the tang is responsible for the cut...

I have had this fish for 14 years, last new fish added to the tank was in December.

I can probably remove her to QT, but without an obvious diagnosis I’m not sure what I would treat with. I’m considering she could just be old...

Well, that’s not what I wanted to hear. This is a fully stocked reef tank full of fish, corals, and inverts, so it doesn’t seem like there is much I can do (I will remove her and treat, but it will remain in the system). It sounds like there’s no way to avoid something like this getting introduced since it can come in on corals and inverts, and otherwise healthy fish should be able to resist infection.

Well it seems to me anyway and believe me I’m no expert that it might be getting picked on to much by the other fish judging by how it is swimming in the tank atleast I think anyway
