Hello fellow reefers,

Have my clownfish got a parasite growing on their fins? took a photo of one but they both are the same.

Thanks in advance

I think you definitely have something going on.

I can't say for 100% what. Any other symptoms? Swimming into flow, twitching, scratching targeting gills, etc?

Not what I’ve noticed, they both seem happy and are eating well, the only thing I’ve noticed the last couple of days is they have occasionally started nipping at each other that they never did before.

Some questions while we wait... How long have you had them, do you qt, any other fish showing symptoms or have strange behavior, have you done a freshwater dip to check for flukes?

I think I see a few subdued spots on the body also. I would start with a FW dip to check for flukes.
This is my suggestion as well. Do it in a dark bucket so you can see the flukes (small sesame seed-looking things).

Report back the result we will go from there :)

Just reading up on how to do a freshwater dip and setting up a qt tank, should I now leave my tank fallow and if so for how long? Also are my inverts and corals at risk?
