Clownfish perpetual egg clutch.

Is it normal for my clowns to lay eggs every few weeks? They will lay eggs, hatch them (unsuccessfully), and then lay a new batch within the next week.

This has been going on for almost a year now...

Very normal for a breeding pair of clowns.

Mine do the same. Every 10 days or so they lay a new batch.

Your best bet is to leave them there. Until the eggs are laid on something that can be removed from the tank you probably won’t be raising any clownfish.

If they do lay in the cup, you should leave it in there until the eggs appear silver in color. Once they do, you can remove the cup and the eggs should hatch shortly after in a separate tank. FWIW it’s a lot of time and money for very little return
