Hi, I have two clownfish in my tank and notice each one has some white showing in there lips likes it been chewed up from fighting over dominance, the fighting has subsided now. I’m curious if I should just let this be and monitor it or take any action?
They are eating and acting completely normal as well.
Thanks.

Mouth is damaged and likely from fighting with another clown but can also b from glass surfing which I dont believe but also moving/cleaning rocks which they often do. Based on severity, I recommend treating in a separate tank using Seachem Neoplex with air stone added

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I agree, photos under white lights can help us evaluate the issue better.

This is pretty severe mouth damage - it should heal on its own, but if the lesions continue to grow in size, or turn red, you may need to treat in a hospital tank with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic.

Also, be aware that although the two clownfish seem to have a "truce" right now, that can change in a heartbeat, and the fighting can start up again, especially if they don't form a strong pair bond.
