I would love to keep really cool invertebrates and some anemones! Oh and I can't forget the Catalina gobies! Man, if I had more money, I would get an ornate cowfish and go crazy like Steve Weast from Oregonreef.com. But, I'd need thousands for that!

Long time, no see!
I have emptied the two large aquariums a year ago, because of lack of time. I have two small kids and travel more in my work. But I kept the five small aquariums. One 50 litre and four 25 litres. Sadly I switched off the cooler in the summer and forgot to switch it on again. Two days later I found almost all animals dead and the temperature at 25 C... So my inspiration faded away. But I kept the aquariums running with a minimum of maintenance.

But a couple of weeks ago I did a collection trip to the ocean and managed to fill one of the 25 litres with animals.

I work from home in my basement, from time to time, due to the pandemic of course. But on my cofee break I turn myself around and put the nose on the front glass...

Here comes some pictures. First is a beadlet anemone, Actinia equina with its blue dots under the tentacles.

Usually my day starts with feeding all aquariums with Reef Snow.

The frilled anemones respond quickly on the food in the water:

But after an hour it gets a bit sad:

So I tried to give some more Reef Snow, and it is happy again.

I think to set up some automatic feeding of cyclops which have more protein than reef snow.

I have set up a refrigerator, a stirrer and a dosing pump in order to do some automatic feeding. It is cyclops in the erlenmeyer flask and it is dosed every hour.
During the workday I took a series of time lapse pictures and I am very pleased with the result!

I have built an equipment in order to catch some animals. I have previously used it, but lost it.
IKEA is my distributor of storage boxes used to make them.

This is my new build:

And this is how the previous one looked like after a couple of years in the water at a depth of 15 meters.

Yes this awesome!! Reminds me of the cool waters diving off the Maine (US) coast. Always thought it would be a cool aquarium. Happy to see others did too. Great tank. Thanks for sharing!!

This is very inspiring! What a wonderful thread!

I am in the process of trying to set up a Puget Sound biotope. Yes, cold water indeed. I would like to home some of the marine life around me, especially a couple of Rhamphocottus richardsonii, and going nano due to space contraints.

Thank you for sharing!

That is a really cute little fish! I wish you good luck and looking forward to a build thread. Can you please post a link here when you begin?

Amazing!. I've done a cold water macro algae tank with all locally collected livestock. Living in Tasmania we have some very unique ecosystems.

Next on the project list is a temperate seagrass biotope and this thread has inspired me to get going on it. Please keep the posts coming!
