Learn about the corals you are selling or trading!! If you plan to make $$$$ from your hobby, you have a responsibility to be informed about your livestock. Don't keep corals too close together. Don't balance corals on rocks or flimsy frag racks above your favorite giant acan echinata colony. And DON'T cut frags of sensitive, notoriously receding corals so small that they have almost no chance of survival - if I have to measure the frag in millimeters, it's too small!!

End of rant.

Oh, and if you are going to claim lineage, at least take the 10 minutes out of your day to PM people and confirm it's correct :crossedlips:

And one more thing... if you don't have the funds to refund money, or the stock to replace something with, then you are NOT a business! You're a person.... with a tank.... in the garage. Nothing more. Learn how to keep corals before you go trying to brand yourself!

OK, seriously, now end of rant :sure:

I don't know that it is just common sense. IMO, It's experience; it's knowledge; and it's a business ethic (regardless of whether we're talking about a hobbyist or a vendor). If you don't have these things, you shouldn't be making dealings which require them.

Please tell. I just caught the Chalice bug and placed my first order a few days ago. It would be nice to know who to avoid ordering from.

You can see vendor feedback in the vendor feedback forum.

Personally I only purchase from reputible vendors (or reefers) who have done business with people that I highly trust in this hobby. I purchase from a select few business and don't stray.
