I have 2x Orphek Atlantik V3 Compact fixtures purchased direct from Orphek in 2016. About 6 months ago I noticed that some of the diodes are burning the lenses. I have kept the fans clean of dust and the fixtures have not been excessively hot when checking the temps through the app. Today I took apart my fixtures and some of the diodes have melted but still function and have burnt the lenses. They are outside the warranty. Any recommendations of what to do? @Orphek or other Orphek user suggestions.

Whose Tommy? The rep I got my through I think is no longer with them.
He is a Rep with Orphek that sold me my 2 compacts. When I received my units i noticed that some lenses looked cracked or melted. I was ticked. A light fixture or any light fixture for with a high price tag should not have passed their QC in that condition. Anyhow I notified Tommy and sent him pics of the condition I received the lights. Who did express concern and had Orphek ship out extra lenses as well a their camera phone lenses.

I was considering an Orphek, but it’s sad that you have to buy extra lenses right off the bat. I wonder why they aren’t glass instead? The reviews on these things are hit or miss at best.

I honestly have liked these lights very much until recently. And now that I’ve read on R2R that others with the V4.2 have had the same problems and worse having to replace diodes and lenses. If you are paying close to 1k for a light you should not have to solder anything, let alone replace lenses. I am very disappointed and my opinion on quality is rapidly shifting.

Here is Orphek’s solution.
“ Do you know soldering?
You can replace the leds in channel 2
but we recommend you to upgrade to new PCB with leds.
We upgraded the leds.
The new leds are much stronger and with thicker golden wires inside.
The production cost increased 15% but we won't up the selling price.
The price of new PCB with leds is $228 each with free shipping door to door.
We will give you 4x new fans for free when you order the PCB with leds.”

Gotta day I’m very disappointed with this response not so much the work but the fix costing me at least $500.

I love how there solution involves putting more powerful diodes in, to what, melt the lenses faster? :p

And yes I know that wasn't your issue but it just might become an issue

Agreed, not what you want to hear 2 1/2 years after dropping a grand on lights. I asked what other solutions they may have. We will see what the response is.

I mean, to be fair, after 2 1/2 years you would probably get a Similar response from other reputable companies who offer insanely expensive lights. I know Orpheks goal is to attempt to keep repair and shipping costs down which is why they suggest doing it yourself but still...
