I feel like we all get yelled at by our spouses about frozen food stinking up the freezers and fridges. Like mine currently….its a basement beer fridge 🤔 but says it makes everything smell and stink like fish. So what options have you all come up? Some type of sealed container? Separate fridge? (Do they make a small fridge/freezer combo?) let’s hear it! I tried a small Rubbermaid bin for the food but she says it still stinks and everything from it tastes like fish still. I guess I’ve become accustom to the smell or taste? I notice nothing 😂

My fish have their own mini fridge and freezer. No issues. 😂
Care to share which model your fridge is? I have a strong grudge against mini fridge freezers. It keeps your frozen food frozen at all times?
Its an OLD reliable one. Not even sure of the brand tbh. Ill take a look tomorrow when I am there again and let you know.

I only use a college dorm size cube freezer. But if you need a fridge too, you could buy one of each and stack them, I suppose. That's assuming you can't just get a very small combo unit somewhere.

I think they have small combos from my research. But from experience I don’t trust mini freezers? Maybe they’re better now days?

I keep one of those floating pond baskets like people use to contain nems. I have all of my foods in that basket in my deep freezer. The foods are all so frozen that no smell is emitted.

Really out of all of the foods though only the PE mysis and most of the LRS foods are all that seem to have much odor. Rods food a little bit. Maybe figure out which foods are the smelliest to your partner and don't feed just those.

I had a Frigidaire at my office at my previous job. It had a habit of freezing the freezer but also freezing the back 2 rows of water bottles in the fridge. I'm not sure which model it was though.

I feed all those plus some 😂

You put selcon in a freezer? I always leave it out at room temperature like 70degrees or a bit cooler

I have found the nest place to get a deep freeze is on FB Marketplace or Craigslist, people sell them all the time for cheap. I scored 2 like new full sized Frigidare uprights for $100 each.

So seems a separate freezer/fridge is how must store it. Noted
Like I said, my Frigidaire at work kept the freezer frozen and the fridge was cold. It had separate freezer/fridge temperature controls.

I do agree LRS is the stinkiest! My wife noticed it the very first time I ever fed it. It’s now accepted in the house. I have a full size fridge/freezer in the garage where I keep the refrigerated and frozen foods.
