It is a great first controller as it has a pH or ORP port, salinity port, 4 sense ports, 4 drive ports and 4 AC outlets. If you do run out of a particular port or the AC outlets just get another controller with the ports needed, a command bus cable and a couple of terminators and create a collective. A collective acts like one large controller with the sum of all the input and output ports of the member controlles.

Looking for a controller what your input on the HYDROS Launch Controller?
I have Hydros and Apex and believe I get more from Apex as some of my components do not link with the ports and Easier to follow apex when Im not home

I have the Hyrdos Launch and it’s simple to program. Just scan the QR code inside the box and it takes you to the instructions for setup. I like the ph probe and temp probe that come with it. I have my return pump, skimmer connected to the ac outlets and it’s great to control them for water change without having to manually turn them off. The cost between the Apex and Hydros made the decision east for me. Here is a pic of the interface of the Hydros controller

I just recently got Hydros. it's much cheaper. you get a lot more for them money. I can't say one is better than the other. at this point. the difference right now is Hydros keeps coming out with more stuff and Apex is not.
