Hello. I have seen a number of threads asking about converting a wet dry filter to a refugium. I'd like to post a picture of the setup I recently got on Craigslist because I would like to do such a conversion. It looks like the previous owner had been using it as a refugium and a skimmer but did not modify the baffle at all. The divider between the two tanks is just open on the bottom. What's the best way to set this up? Should I have the skimmer in the first reservoir and the refugium in the second with the return pump? How should I alter the baffle

if at all ?Thanks!

I would place all mechanical filtration before then chemical and last biological stages. For example: inlet, filter socks, skimmer, carbon (or other), fuge and return.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
