I am not sure this is the right place for this but i read a few articles and thought i did it right but things are not looking right and need some help...

i have a cheap 12-gallon tank so I:
1. filled it 50% with water from the display
2. added ocean magik from algaebarn for Phytoplankton
3. acclimated 5280 pods from algaebarn and added to 12-gallon
4. added a bubbler to 12-gallon
5. turned a small led light on that lights tank (came with cheap 12-gallon tank)

after this i went to sleep and this morning it looks to me like everything may have died as there is alot of stuff laying on the bottom of 12-gallon and i dont see any movement in tank as i expected to see little pods all over the place...any ideas?

Turn off the bubbler and shine a bright light into the tank. They'll come toward the light if they are alive.

yes they were alive and moving, tons of them
Ok. That's a good sign. They are probably there. So as Jeff posted above, turn off the light both on tank and in room. Wait a few minutes. Then shine a small flashlight on the glass. If they are there they will come to the light in a couple of minutes.
