Hi all

I would like to know what kind of Copper (free, complexed or total) is measured by ours home kits ?

When requesting a copper lab ICP-OES do we have to specify the kind of copper or the result shows the 2 types separated or only total copper ?

Should we only concern with free copper or are there any positive benefits of removing the complexed as well ?

Regards

ICP gives total copper of any form.

Some copper kits will detect cupramine and some might not.

Other types of chelation will depend on the chelator. It is not one thing any more than fish food is all the same.
