Copperband in 15gallon

Possible for a CBB to be in a 15 gallon. He would be the only fish in the tank with coral. Could I buy one super small and grow him out in it? How fast is there growth rate

No, it wouldn't be ok even if it's small

What do you mean "try their luck"? It's not a matter of luck, this fish gets big and swims a lot, it's a matter of time.

Now simple answer No that size would not be ok . Think of the fish and it’s need for space and welfare of the fish. It’s a animal just like your family dog ect

i mean i have a powder blue in a 90 and i'm pushing my luck 15 gallons is a joke m8 don't do it lol
fish wont even be able to swim in a 15 gallon

Sounds like your new to the hobby asking this question so my answer would be no even if it's a 115 gallon. Copperbands are not an easy fish to keep alive.

Well over a year in the hobby. I think we all forget that this isnt a black and white hobby. We are all trying to put a piece of ocean in glass box. Reality of it anything can be possible nothing in this hobby is set in stone

common sense should tell you 8 inch fish in a 15 gallon is a no go pretty black and white to me

Re read the question. When did say it was 8in. And when you do yoir research thats 8in in wild not in tank should only expect half of that growth in captivity. And i was asking about growing one out. So 2-3 cbb in a 15 by himself seems do able

Sorry but the reality is that even considering putting a CBB in a 15 gallon tank is not black and white it's downright foolish and shows little to no respect for the life of the fish. JMO

EDIT: not even to grow out. I have never seen a CBB for sale in a store that was small enough for a 15g.
This CBB would be perfect tho

I would argue it depends on the fish. Only real question im trying to get out of this is has anyone attempted to grow a cbb out in a smaller tank and what the growth rate is. Some fish takes years to get full size

Fish get 80% of the wild size if you aren't providing enough food or space.

This hypothetical CBB wouldn't even get to 20% of wild size if it started at 19% though
