Got this frag for $5 at LFS. This piece broke off the display specimen. Guy at store said it needs high flow and high light.

Any ideas?

I agree with hydnophora. Is that it fully open? Or does it open larger than that?
A photo under just white light as well will probably be easier to help ID it.

Yes that's it fully open.

Consensus seems to be Plating/Encrusting Hydnophora. Thanks.
Any particular care facts I should know about? It's my first SPS. Do I have to glue it down?

Hardy coral, not picky about placement. I have had it all over the tank in low to high lighting and mod to higher flow. Will take supplementary feedings much like an LPS. Has the ability to send out defensive mesenterial filaments and sting near by corals, extremely aggressive, give it a wide berth. Growth is moderate, grows faster if target feed. Maintain parameters as you would for any LPS or Sps.
