I bought it as a rainbow short polyp but I tried to do research and find out where they need placed because mines not too happy where I place him in my tank.

Looks like goniopora. Low to medium light and medium flow.

What is the par where you have it now?

Bernardopora is commonly sold by vendors as goniopora, or "short polyp goniopora" but taxonomically its in the genus bernardopora.
