Hey, so I just topped off my water. With R/O because my salinity was peaking. (Don’t know if this has anything to do with it.)

anyway. All of a sudden this coral (sorry for not knowing the name) just started flipping out. I k ow it’s shrinking because lights are low and it late. However I’ve never seen it Shrink this way. The heads look brownish. And it seems to be some of the slime of the polyps hanging off. Is this coral dying. Should I worry?

The coral appears to be micromussa, formerly known as Acans.
What does salinity peaking mean?
Salinity must run stable at all times for long term success.
It depends on how much RO you added and what the change in salinity was.
When salinity changes, so does the chemistry of the water.
You should be able to provide all your parameters so we can rule out most common problems.
It doesn’t look bad, but you may want to consider an ATO to keep salinity constant.
Give him a few days to return to normal.
